Hi! I'm Will Franke
I'm a screenwriter who has placed in several screenwriting competitions, including the top 25 in Save the Cat (twice in one year) and as a finalist and semifinalist in the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival for two different scripts. Before launching my screenwriting career, I had a year-long contract at VICE and was a widely-published travel, wine, and spirits journalist featured in Food & Wine, People Magazine, and more.

The Black List - Sunrise Over Oak Hill (Feature)
A script that powerfully intertwines personal reflection with the broader themes of rebellion and honor, successfully creating a powerful and emotionally resonant movie. The film's concept of a rebellion leader spending his final days before execution in his childhood home offers for deep character exploration and poignant moments of introspection.

The Black List - A Queen's Ransom (Pilot)
An impressive 20th-century historical drama, featuring some great world building and excellent story ideas...The world-building in Moravia is well-done, with different factions and opinions in a new fascist state blending together in a believably organic way.

The Golden Script Competition - Honor Among Thieves (Pilot)

Honor Among Thieves explores an exciting concept that elevates current trends when it comes to increased interest in samurai stories...More importantly, given its excellent execution, the pilot is expected to convince producers to give the series the green light.
